| En 1987, la filière de production de chevrettes Macrobrachium rosenbergii en Guyane Française a fait l'objet d'intervention du laboratoire d'aquaculture de l'IFREMER à 2 niveaux : un appui technique à la profession, et des expérimentations à la station expérimentale gérée en commun par IFREMER et INRA, à KOUROU. L'appui technique a porté sur la formation d'éleveurs notamment pour le démarrage des exploitations, l'amélioration des techniques d'exploitation et de choix des classes détaillées commerciales, la maîtrise des caractéristiques du milieu d'élevage par l'utilisation des amendements classiques, la lutte contre la contamination des produits par les germes coliformes. | The objective of this work was to verify the occurrence of compensatory growth in Malaysian prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) reared in pens, after being stocked in cages under high densities during nursery phase. The experiment was carried out in 0.5 m² cages and 2-m² pens set in natural bottom pond with 2,400 m². Prawn post-larvae (PL) with an average weight of 0.026 ± 0.012 g (nursery phase) were initially stocked in 16 cages at the densities of 50, 400, 800 and 1,200 PL m-2. Sixty days later, prawns were transferred to 16 growing pens, at the density of 12 prawns m-2. | Feeding behavior of the larvae's prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii De Man, 1879, in each stage of development was studied face alArtemia Linnaeus, 1758 nauplii, dry and wet diets. Groups of ten larvae in each stage were placed in 500 ml beakers at 29ºC in filtered brackish water. After the fasting period of acclimatization, the three types of food were offered separately to the larvae and the feeding behavior was observed during 30 min. Feeding perception, capture, grasp and ingestion of food were used to determine feeding pattern. Stage I lawac do not eat. The feeding behavior of larvae was similar on the stages II - XI. | In this article the length growth curves of Macrobrachium rosenbergii (De Man, 1879) held in different population densities were analysed. Postlarvae prawns were stocked into five 0,02 ha earthen ponds at densities of 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 ind./m² during six months. Forthnightly, the mean total length of animals from each pond were obtained by means of random samples. For each population the length growth curves and the instantaneous growth rate expressions were determined. The growth rate and the asymptotic maximum length decreased with the stocking density raised. This effect is greater when the density ranges in low levels. | RESUMO - O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a aplicabilidade da técnica de eletroejaculação para manejos de inseminação artificial, bem como o potencial ejaculatório de cada um dos tipos morfológicos de machos adultos do Macrobrachium rosenbergii. Estímulos elétricos foram aplicados em 48 exemplares de camarão-de-água-doce, recém capturados em viveiros de engorda, para melhor compreensão do comportamento reprodutivo de cada um: os de quela azul (BC), sexualmente ativos e dominantes; os de quela laranja (OC), sexualmente inativos; e os pequenos (SM), com comportamento oportunista, os quais somente realizam a cópula, caso a corte da fêmea tenha sido previamente realizada por um macho BC. | The effects of increasing levels of dietary phospholipids (PL) on the reproductive performance, egg and larval quality, and lipid composition of females of the freshwater prawn <i>Macrobrachium rosenbergii</i> were investigated. Three isolipidic diets containing similar amounts of highly unsaturated fatty acids but varying levels of PL (0.8, 2.4 and 4.6%) were fed during 180 days to three groups of eight females originating from Thai ponds. No significant differences were observed for fecundity, egg size and hatchability, starved larvae size, and size, survival and tolerance to stress of 8 day-old larvae.
